#23: Stoa Gambit - This isn't goodbye
Hey Hey Hey
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS! Mischief Managed.
It has been six months of intense journey, and we are super excited to see you on the other side. Wait, which side?
The Alumni Side.
So, what does that mean for you and us?
Something Stoa has always been proud of is the community it fosters. Every time two people collaborate, help each other out and create something new, the essence of the community keeps getting stronger. But in this world of many poets, dreamers, and artists, how do we curate our little space of healthy conversations and perspective building?
If you did pay attention to the Career Wednesday sessions ( we know you did :)), some of the best networks come from our circles. We may know a friend whose friend works in the product, finance, marketing and whatnot. And together, we can knit a closer community.
So if you think your buddies would benefit from the vibrant community here, you know what to do.
But apart from that, what does it mean to be the alumni of Stoa?
This isn’t like college, where you end up with emails addressed to many kids titled ‘Dear Alumni’. When we have such a strong bond among people, how do we maintain it?
Some of the things we have seen the seniors of the block take up include:
mentoring people who wish to join the programme and are joining
get them familiar with the stoa process
Kaksha sessions to engage with peer to peer learning continuously.
tips to crack case weekends :))
be on the lookout for people to hire across their teams
meet up with them, collaborate, exchange ideas ( be it during Dosa Party or Vada Pav Party!)
The scope for what the seniors could do is vast, and we hope you will take the opportunity! After all, everyone went through this process as a newbie, and we understand how overwhelming it can be—having a support buddy definitely does ease things out.
Also, do we even need to mention that Discord is thriving because of enthucutlets amidst you? So keep the banter alive, make memes, and keep the essence of Cohort 4 ongoing.
See you on Discord!
